I really should give up but I'm stuck in this rut. The last thing I should do is keep on digging. Instead of talking it out, learning what you're mad about I've been writing this song that I've been singing.

Now all the things I say tend to come out sideways Which explains why you aren't talking to me at all I have a tendency for overthinking or not at all when I've been drinking So I'm sorry, I love you, I'll shut up.

Oh, yes he did! Well you certainly understood the assignment. Quite a potpourri of emotions here: endearing, aggravating, silly, and very sweet. It's all terribly relatable and wonderfully written and performed.

I'll keep paying attention to anyone who can use "antonym" mid-song :-). There is a decided universality to this dilemma of making things worse as you're trying to make them better, all with the same words and the best of intentions. Great delivery, and the acoustic picking makes a great foil for the conversational quality of the lyrics. Plus, I love your spoken-word slate / mission statement!

Sometimes your songs are very personal. Fun to hear you sing about someone the opposite of yourself. Except maybe for writing a song when you should be talking; I can imagine that.
