soft noise pop
Liner Notes
The original distorted melody line has been laying around a while, finally picked it up and made something of it. A little monotonous as it is perhaps but I see some potential.. For some reason the working title for the project was "soft noise pop", I'll keep it for now. (But title suggestions are welcome).

I was thinking of getting a more analog vibe, maybe run it through a real amp, but going full on indsutrial machine could be another direction. Thanks!
Definitely shades of blue. Blacks blues grays. Nighttime, driving a car around a city, focus and gripping the steering wheel. Steam and parkour and chasing henchmen.
Some really nice textures in here, all of the sound effect stuff comes through really melodically. Genuinely impressive
I think "soft noise pop" is a great title, personally
I like those images. Will take them with me when I develop it. It's more of a basic sketch as it is, trying out different sounds and distortions. Appreciate the listen, thanks!
Title suggestion: City Lights
Thanks, that would kind of work but I already have two songs called "the City" and "Blinking Lights", have to vary myself a little!
Of course!
This is a great central melody line for a track. In my head I can hear lots of little harmonies and counter melodies weaving around it: little ornaments - swooshing through it and rebounding off it in subtle ways. You should definitely do something with this, I think.
Good suggestions, counter melodies and swooshing through sounds good. I did quite a bit of MPE editing of individual MIDI notes, adding different pitch shifts and glissandos between notes to get interesting dissonances, could work much more with that.
There's definitely something there: this grinds wonderfully and the floaty guitar (?) peeks through neatly too. Title suggestion: Soft Pop Noise.
There's a few guitars in the middle there. "Grinds wonderfully" is the main thing I was trying to achieve, thanks!
I like the industrial machine vibe here. Maybe even a little steam punk. Good mix!
