Lyrics

The Savages ran a fish shop in the wind-battered East : 'By Hook or By Cook' ; it became 'Buoy-Shazza's Feast'. Ma Savage was Sharon, Shazza in briefs, with a biblical-scribblical son indeed. He born out of weedlock was called 'Buoy' by the sea-flock but in the church' handbook " Something Savage " was the name he took.

Still, Ma and Pa pray to their Lord as much as they can manage "O!h God please give our lad a name so that he may not just remain 'Something Savage' ! ? ! " ( Well, if god can't conjure up chips for their fish shop how the hell?! will he plaice a name for Savage pup )

Now in knead of a side-line, Ma Savage did some bake-time and thereby define "The Eastern Dumpling". And as she was forced to cradle a lifeline she kicked out Pa Savage, her humpling, who'd hooked up with hammer-toed_Pearl_from_around_here ; !That KipperGirl thing !! Whence they sailed off in search of Dutch buccaneers tho' the message in a battle be crystal clear :

"Don't! get clapped in irons by pirates from TheNetherlands, even ones revered And no rotten raft in diseased waters ! where sharks have been starved of decent slaughter"

                                       another Monkey/Rugrat production

I didn't expect to read lyrics that were going to remind me of James Joyce this month, but the wordplay here is making me smile in that sort of way, "biblical-scribblical" and "humpling" in particular.

I do like your wording - it turns my head inside out, in a good way. I like the meandering-not-meandering approach, once again I feel there is something I am not getting that is percolating beneath the surface of the words. Heady stuff
