Liner Notes

A jam to score part a of a film selected by the Hardware Jams Moderators Team - great idea.

However, unfortunately the whole film was 'an option' and it was the participants homework to select scenes that accumulate to less than five minutes total time for a jam.

As i do not like violence i had a hard time selecting a scene from this film - so i selected a bunch of them: all scenes in which the car drives for a little are together a little over four minutes.

cars take people on cars hurry from here to there cars go over hill and into dales cars don't care for limits cars don't care for a nice view cars pass people by cars can stop and drive away cars can turn left or right cars break down cars don't care for dust or noise cars switch off their lights sometimes cars switch on their lights agin cars go over rough and smooth cars are in a hurry cars are in a hurry

I enjoyed the video as well as the track! Love that fast beat that comes in, and how it contrasts with the robotic vocals and the long stretches of highway. I also really dig the avant-garde-feeling lyrics.

I've never heard such a well rounded exploration of the functionality of cars.

You capture such a cool sound in this. It's manic but a ton of fun.

...thank you for the nice comment! - i tried to avoid the 'actual' task at hand - musically commenting (scoring) the all-throughout-the-movie-present-violence - perhaps i went a little too far...
