Waiting
Skirmish: That doesn't rhyme (@200ghosts)Liner Notes

Easily my dumbest effort to date at a skirmish, but a super fun challenge nonetheless and possibly the first skirmish I've turned in remotely close to on time.

Awesome job! This is such fun. Great flow and rhythm, and I really enjoy the artful dodges around rhymes.
Amazing take on the skirmish. How you twist and turn the words in such unexpected ways such that there is no rhyming yet a perfect flow and rhythm is brilliant. Continuing with the melody on guitar after the you are done singing is a delightful second act.
How on earth did you pull this off? So appealing musically and lyrically.
Loved it, clever lyrics and as always awesome fingerpicking.
I like how you sneak sideways into what’s going on behind the lines, especially with the nods to watching the Olympics and that final stanza. And I love how you slide around the implied “you” in “ World to…somebody just” and in “line/(mine)” by interrupting yourself.
Great musical composition, too.
your dumbest is my brill
Okay this is not dumb, this is great. 😀 When I read the first stanza before the music got there I thought that you were just going to stop awkwardly after "On the way, to the" but nope! It just kept beautifully flowing along. Love your voice and the guitar work.
This is so clever and somehow the motif doesn’t get old, keeps me smiling all the way through. Nicely done! Deft playing at the end there too!
I'm simultaneously loving the word play and sitting here with hair raised on neck feeling like I've been left hanging for the last thirty minutes despite the song length being a mere 90 seconds or so. That being said, the singing is impressive. There's a little roughness to your voice that I'm finding very pleasing and the never quite catch your breath - ness of it drives it right along.
