#singersongwriter #guitar #mandola My heart goes out to all that have had to deal with the decline of loved ones dealing with dementia. All their memory loss is indeed, Lost Treasure. A sad song, but one I wanted to explore.
Lyrics
Lost Treasure (dementia)
I’m pondering my thoughts... Look like inkspots... There’s meaning there, down in the depths. It’s hurting my head... I realize with dread... Lost treasure, I should have kept.
Chorus: Ain’t that the way that it always plays? Discover it’s value when it’s lost. And once it’s gone, alway too late, It’s a sad and painful cost.
I’ll try one more time... It’ll turn out fine... Not my first, hopefully not my last. It causes concern... Think that I would learn... Down in my being, hard-and-fast.
Chorus:
Repeat First Verse

I lost both my Mother and an uncle to Dementia and it’s a horrible and tough thing , so can relate totally to this . Nice production with the Mandola adds to feel of the song perfectly .
Loving the mandola...as a cellist it has always been a dream to get a mandola or a mandocello. Great combination of elements with strumming guitar holding the structure and these tasteful Mandola fills. Great listen!
There's a sadness to this that feels just right for the topic. I think we've all encountered someone who deals with this awful disease.
