Who says #ukulele and #synth don't go together? Actually, I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say that. I'm still calling this #nerdfolk though. Even if I'm not sure what the title should be.

I won't say what this is about because if you spent any time mucking about with computer games in the 80s and beyond, you can probably work it out. And if not, well there's still the bleeps and boops.

Lyrics

Turn it round Shift it left and right Then let it drop And vanish from your sight

Zig and zag You're desperate for the straight But four by four This will be your fate

But you have to persevere As you fight away the tears When your failure's piling up and your Successes disappear

Time flies on There's cracks in every wall Lose control Still they have to fall

But you have to persevere As you fight away the tears When your failure's piling up and your Successes disappear

Your failure's piling up and your Successes disappear

Longing for The pieces that you need But your plate is full The end is guaranteed

But still you persevere As you fight away the tears When your failure's piling up and your Successes disappear

Your failure's piling up and your Successes disappear

Charming and inspiring! I don’t know the specific reference but it’s applicable to many things…. Great instrument choices too!!

Very solid rhythm playing on the Ukulele...Dig it. VOX sound great. Keys work well too. I liked how the lyrics flowed.

Uke goes with whatever you want - i always try one with something different. Even played a long as i had a uke out today! Perseverance is most underated. nice

Uke and synth are a perfect combo. I like how this song gives an adventure story vibe. Great job.

I think Synthuke may be a whole new genre and you are at the very forefront of it and deservedly so with a song as good as this!

I was never that big of a gamer--I had other nerd interests--so I don't recognize the specific name, but I recognize the feelings recounted here, which are pretty universal to all games. Indeed, you may think you've written a song about a game, but in fact you've written one about the struggle of life generally! :) And a pretty darn tuneful song about the struggle of life; it sounds happy but dramatic, and has a terrific poppy, singalong quality. Quite nice!

I love the synth/uke combo! Really catchy chorus too.
