Let It Out - Daveyboy and Oswlek

Liner Notes
I did not write the words or the music to this song. I was listening to this song by @oswlek. Pure production and performance duties. Always interesting working with someone else's material.
And thought it would be great with a lush production job. As they had left me a very detailed critique, which I really appreciated, I asked if it would be ok to give it a treatment in the same vein. Dreamy 90s pop.
So here it is, hope you like it. A bit rough in places.
(If you're feeling generous, please check out the original version with a completely different performance and arrangement in the above link. None of the instruments or vocals are shared in the two versions.)
Justin: Supercool, Davey! I'm flattered and honored that an artist of your caliber would feel one of my songs was worth this kind of effort. Great atmosphere and some super juicy stuff going on. I'll give this a deeper listen soon, but I wanted to at least edit in a proper hat tip. 😊
I hope you don't mind me changing the title to differentiate between the versions in my comments.
Lyrics
Let it out Let it go Let yourself Lose control
It's easy to cling too tight Breathe deep And let go
Let it out Let it be Let yourself Set it free
It's okay not to change the world Breathe deep And let it out

Cool to hear such a different rendition. Very lush, very polished. Wow. Love 'em both!
Thanks, Doug. Appreciate you stopping by. Davey does remarkable work. 😊
Beautiful treatment of Justin's original - now you have both a live "open mic" channel and a "spotify pro" channel for reaching the masses. This new version really feels like it should be on a movie soundtrack. I can just imagine the epic scenes as this plays. Great job guys
many thanks for the kind words
Very nice perfoand production. REALLY reminds me of The Blue Nile... and that's a good thing.
I absolutely love The Blue Nile, A Walk Across The Rooftops is one of my all time favourite albums. Praise indeed.
Tidied up version uploaded @oswlek
Definitely a smoother ride. 😊 I've listened a few times, I'm just not in a position to comment much at the moment.
No need to comment, There were just a few things annoying me in the other version
Wow…Both versions are spectacular and spectacularly different. Really enjoying this version, partially for how it stands on its own but also just hearing something familiar yet all so different. That was fantastic…I’d like to know more about the process of what you did here. It’s cool…
Oh wow, I really liked the original and now I’m torn. I think both work. You really brought out the emotion in this one (or … let it out!?). Great track.
Well now, I believe, that you can like both, don't quote me on that though
This is gorgeous and dreamy. Love the message and the way it is married to the delivery. Nice saxophone too!
Yep it sounds very nice
Wow, a very different song indeed! The sax, backing vocals and pads give it a very full theatrical overall sound. This could be the opening song for a movie, then Justin's version for the closing!
