Superb vocals and production! Definitely Americana - could be The Band, circa 1970. And the chorus is perfect!

Ooof, this hit me in the gut. A beautiful and poignant lyric, and so well produced. I've noticed a lot of self deprecation in my lyrics lately, and am trying to be kinder to myself. But boy it makes for good songs sometimes...

"You have saved me from myself." What a genuine line, that you expand on wonderfully throughout the lyrics. And being "glad" in the bridge is such a nice climax to the song. Of course, musically brilliant, per usual, the instrumentation reflects your words so well.

Feels confessional and sincere, written from the heart. Great performance of a very touching song. Has a timeless americana quality to it. The bass is doing some cool stuff there in the background, nice detail.

This is just a straight up rocker in every sense: the driving rhythm, the harmonies, the heartache. I could hear this being performed at a bar down in the Ozarks. That guitar solo is so tasty! Valentines was made for songs like this, well done.

I like how the percussion took a change of scenery when the "you don't have to lie" line came down. Great chorus! Love the sentiment of the song. And a wonderful solo to boot!
