That was a very nice listen. Solid. Was trying to stick it somewhere in my head, the vibe, I think I was thinking Tori Amos, Kate Bush, a little bit, the story telling is on point, the backing lovely, the vocal just right, the atmosphere, etc. A Very nice piece of writing, and performance.

The sense of beautiful melancholy is so powerful. The lyric imagery, lack of strict rhyme, rhythmic contrast in the lyrics of the A and B parts, and the doubled vocals are all so engaging. I think this instrumentation works great for this song, nothing else needed!
