If I don't always get what you mean It's not you or me, but something in between OK so it's me, but not for the reason you think, So let me try to explain

Why did the chicken cross the road? It took me forever to get it It doesn't mean the same to you as it does to me I thought It was just an unfunny joke And then someone explained it to me About fifty years after I heard it And then I understood It wasn’t literal It didn’t really cross the road I thought it was a funny joke

That's not the way I see the world That's not the way my mind works So if I don't always get what you mean It's not on purpose, if that's what it seems I'm just wired differently So please explain things to me as you would to a little child And I will try to understand
