Lyrics

In the land of Froggy Magee There is much to rejoice and lots to see So hippity hoppity Hippity hoppity with Froggy Magee (Froggy Magee)

Well camouflaged, they easily hide There are 6000 species of frogs worldwide

If you want to study herpetology Visit the castle of Froggy Magee Go hippity hoppity Hippity hoppity with Froggy Magee (Froggy Magee)

Roaming Earth for 200 million years In Winters they hibernate and Spring reappear

Bridge: Frogs are the first land animal with vocal cords They have permeable skin for breathing and for water to absorb

With specialized muscles for strength They can leap over 20 times their length

Guitar break

Frogs morph from polywogs Which are cute but I like frogs Cause they hippity hoppity Hippity hoppity with Froggy Magee (Froggy Magee)

Froggy Magee has gathered an army With no intention to harm me It’s a joyous, jumping, amphibious jamboree

Really nice contrast between the minor(?) chords and the lyrics, which on paper look like it's going to be a very simple progression. I love songs that read like wikipedia entries. No kidding. Great stuff!

A fun and educational song! The flanged guitar lead was cool!

@gm7

Ha..Great idea for a song..and a biology lesson at the same time. Just stay away from those poisonous ones. Cool..I mean ribbit.

With specialized muscles for strength They can leap over 20 times their length this going into the guitar break made me laugh... very satisfying! great fun song with some cool froggy facts along the way

Makes me think of being out in the woods in the spring and the peeper frogs are singing. Wild. How they can sense you and shut-up en masse. Crazy. Nice song structure, vocals, and guitar playing is great. Thanks Richaaaaaaaay

Rich, This is so creative. Who would have ever thought to write a song about frogs!! Reminded me of a moment I had when I lived abroad a number of years ago, and it was mating season, and the frogs were all making these other wordly sounds to attract a mate. It was incredible to hear, and you made me recollect that with this focus on frogs. Lol I like your vocal delivery on this and the guitar playing as always is awesome. You rock! : )

Now this is a proper frog song! Listen up, Mr McCartney! Love your voice. And your guitar.

Using the sawtooth melody for the hippity hoppity is brilliant! I love a good nature song, especially one that ….bounces.

There is so much to love about this song, from the seamless integration of “herpetology” in your lyrics to the spoken word bridge to the amazing background vocals in the chorus to the guitar solo to the croak at the end. This is truly delightful and I am smiling from ear to ear - now I need to go listen twenty more times!

Absolutely love this froggy anthem. Fresh fun and genuinely informative!

Love your frog chorus (and all the details I've now learned about frogs -- I'm especially excited to learn about the vocal chord pioneering). And the amphibious jamboree is lovely.

That first appearance of the low backing vocals, like a chorus of muppets appearing out of a hole in log, had me croaking. The 20 times their length section into the Beatles-y guitar tone solo is a highlight. The whole thing makes me think of the early Simpsons episode with Bart and the frogs in Australia... great fun!

[pic]

What a ribbiting listen! Excellent rhyming and guitar playing. Science in song...I'm here for it!

[pic]

Hilarious and a rhyming masterclass ("army" and "harm me"... come on!!). And incredible backing vocal parts. I want a series of songs like this that I can force onto my kids 🐸

Is the Ballad of @froggymagee next? Such great guitar work, and love the storytelling!

[pic]

The tone of the guitar solo with the acoustic picking is food for the soul! heheh hippity hoppity

Oh my goodness, Sir Richaaaay, protector of amphibians! I just woke up and saw this and squealed out of excitement and joy. Holy guacamole, that guitar solo and all the kind things you say about my fellow amphibians... I physically can't stop listening. The FROGGY ribbit at the end hahahah. Your talent is just oozing out of this!

[pic]

You are the best FAWM Froggy around...As the knighted protector of amphibians, I couldn't resist...

[pic]

Your solo is so damn epic in contrast to the hilarious lyrics which you deliver in a very methodical no bs way. That makes this song killer in my books!

[pic]

Your research shows. Love the break with the guitar wailing. This is a fun song. Nice ending...

[pic]

Well, as a card-carrying ecologist and teacher, I give this an official croak of approval! Love the low, “Froggy Magees”! So great! As usual, your guitar work is amazing and adds a hippity-hoppity feel to the song. Frogs are amazing! Especially this one!

I wish education sounded that jazzy and laid back. Just wondered if the froggy FAWMer also listened to it :)

[pic]

Educational and cool... and fun. The guitar sounds lovely and your vocals are rich... and the croaking at the end tops it all off. Like the electric break too. That fits right in.

It was just a matter of time… great froggy research here dude. Means I’m having fun AND learning. Love the super deep backing vocalists (not at all terrifying), and the phasey solo is such a nice surprise when it hits.
