Mishap

Liner Notes
Here's my morph of @erbaer 's "Mishap". I liked the lyrics of the original, so I wrote them on a sheet of notebook paper and cut them up, rearranging them to come up with my chorus and pretty liberally used other words and phrases in the verses. I thought this might not be enough so I added a lead guitar that sort of echoed his verse melody. The lyrics are sort of nonsensical but I grew to kind of like this one after embracing its sort of lo-fi vibe. Maybe I'll rework it sometime.

Lyrics
Chorus: E-G#m-E-G#m F#m-G#m-F#m-B7 Verse: E-B-E-B F#m-A-Am-E
Verse 1: Feels like I'm falling off a cliff Sleeping underneath a busy bridge I might be in the line of the law
Feels like I'm living day-to-day No wheels to run, no silly games to play I might be underneath a sharp claw
Chorus: Take a mirror to the downtown traffic Rubber band till I'm outta light Pulled back, feels like a mishap And I'm probably walking miles tonight
Verse 2: Feels like I'm falling for a trap Stand oblivious while things collapse I might be sniped before it hits dawn
Feels like my vision's on the fritz The red light flashes, I can't handle it I might be played like I'm just a pawn
Chorus: Take a mirror to the downtown traffic Rubber band till I'm outta light Pulled back, feels like a mishap And I'm probably walking miles tonight
Take a mirror to the life you're living Rubber band till you're flying high Pulled back, feels like a mishap And you're going down without a fight

This is very well-crafted. I can hear how much fun you had with this one. Nicely done! I'm here for it.
This feels like the acoustic version of your favorite pop-punk bands biggest hit. Love the musical "garnishes." The lofi is indeed a vibe.
Wow this is super cool! I like the space to give the vocals, which are excellent -but keep the song going. You added piece by piece, each of which add to the intrigue. That’s some bass line going on! Yeah you did an awesome job!
yeah, this works. I wouldnt add too much in any remake. Ooooh like the twiddly bits.
