Skirmish: power walk against the cl... (@melodic)Liner Notes
#early #onetake This is a late entry to the skirmish, because I just saw it. Also, it's still very early here (0630) so still almost within touching distance of the original timeslot. Anyway, I thought it was a cool idea for a prompt, so had a go
Lyrics
We're always racing against the clock To add milestones to our lives But the clock does not exist In the end there's only this
Gotta pack more in tomorrow Gotta do the best you can You're really living in a bubble Buried deep beneath the rubble
And still you talk and power walk But the treadmill is your own You're distracted by the unknown And you’re addicted to your phone
Put it down, look around you Enjoy life, not someone else’s life

Great take on the skirmish- the driving time of the guitar very effective. Love the line “still you talk and power walk”. Well done!
That distorted guitar is perfect for this examination of our obsession with time and our distractions. Great contrast with your calm clear vocals!
