I kept looking at the week's prompt thinking I was going to do an instrumental, and then suddenly as I was playing around on the guitar I have tuned in DADGAD for a cover I was working on learning this week, this little melody came to me, and then the lyrics followed it (usually I'm lyrics first, so this was a fun turn of events).

I really like this small moment song - the melody sits so well on the DADGAD picking pattern, and there are so many great alliterative lines ("sipping coffee as we sit", "soft and sleepy Sunday morning"). You've conjured up the cozy morning with the sunlight streaming in - I'm so glad I discovered this!

What a great and cozy song. Makes me want to make pancakes (and then tune my guitar to DADGAD). This is wonderful - what a lovely song!

This is such a warm, appealing song! The lyrics paint a clear picture of comfortable, happy domesticity, and the melody is lovely. Beautiful guitar work, too!

Dadgad seems to work well so often. It does here, puts you very much in the nick Drake range. Nice positive lyric, hard sometimes to get past angst , but great this remembers the good stuff.
