My Father

Skirmish: Page 237 (@gruvmachine)Liner Notes
#skirmish I did one step more. I used my Grandma's old Bible and opened to random pages, pointed, wrote down the line, repeated, and arranged them with lines that seemed to rhyme. Turns out the song is about my father.
Lyrics
Dwelling in the land, he weakens The evening and the morning There is even the moon Outdoors a sun will bereave them And blood itself will pursue
A desolate waste, even a desolation Because the channels of water have dried For he has put on great aires Look! And he is in one mind
Defeated before the assemble And they will certainly confess And he kept pursuing the afflicted Dealing treachery More righteousness
Like a leopard I shall keep looking Incase there happens to be Security and sleep in the forest And began to cut down the trees
The portion I have given Like the light of the seven days He is the maker under the network of boughs Came to a certain place

Thats a very nice take on the skirmish. Clever outlaid lyrics and use of the prompt
You have really captured the Biblical feel in this piece. It's Dadaist in conception, but solidly biblical in execution!
My mind struggles with the cleverness exhibited here. Well done.
Every stanza has gem lines. My favorite is probably the end, the light of seven days. That line feels worthy of its own song or novella.
Wow! What a clever way to use bibliomancy!
