Liner Notes

I once thought, I had learned not to make mistakes But now I see, and now I know That I had been mistaken But now I see, and now I know The beast has been awaken And once the cats have been unpacked You can never put them back in again

I once thought, I had learned not to make mistakes But now I see, and now I know That I won't stop doing something wrong But now I see, and now I know That nothing's gone right all along I once had thought I was a goner But now I know I have nothing to lose

And I once realized That rules breed mistakes So scrap all of the rules And there'll be no mistakes

I once thought, I had learned not to make mistakes But now I see, and now I know That I can't stop, until it's done But now I see, and now I know That everything stays until it's gone And once you grab the rabbit by the ears You can put the hat back on again

Lyrics

You know I think I was halfway through this song when I realized I hadn't really addressed the skirmish prompt and was talking about making mistakes (which happens when you don't follow the rules I guess) so had to add a little extra saying that if you didn't catch it, we gotta bend the rules by removing the rules so my mistake of not following the prompt is actually me bending the rule.

Oh I know those songs that decide to forget what the prompt has been and follow another idea down the rabbit ... hat. 😀 Never the less great skirmish. Great pictures.

I like the cat in the bag and the rabbit in the hat. Good metaphors for the result of rule bending.

These are great lyrics, caveat and all. Sometimes the words take us where were meant to be and the rules be damned!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the prompt Charlie, you've covered it well enough. Some deep thoughts going on here and some lovely metaphors. Good job
