I started seriously learning Spanish in September 2024, taking classes and making a point to have conversations. Been to Mexico a bunch, and Spain in the past year.

Last year I gave myself the challenge to write and produce a song in Spanish. It's definitely not easy being a non-native speaker, but it's fun. This year the music came to me during a walk one day. I wasn't sure what it was about, but then I turned it into an overly melodramatic song about one of my gym crushes. My Spanish teacher helped me immensely with the lyrics, making them sound more natural and helping me pare down what I'd written. ¡Muchas gracias Marisol!

This came out okay. I had to belt a lot and I especially like the little guitar intro.
