I know I've already done a song 'Car Brain' this FAWM. That was pretty much written from scratch in an hour or two. This one - which in my spreadsheet is actually called 'My Brains' (plural) - is based on a phone recording in my ideas folder from 2024 which I tagged 'punky, grungey, catchy'. Yes, grungey, with an 'e'.

It was mostly all there - the basic riff and melody. For some reason I just never got around to turning it into an actual ♫song♫. Until now!

Rough vocal, as usual. It was sounding pretty bad until I just went all-in on the distortion. There's some good mix ideas in there, I just need to finesse it all a bit. Never know with demos which way they're gonna go. Just playing back the mix on headphones, that kick is WAY too loud. It's crunching the mix hard-out. But it's FAWM... onto the next one.
