My seventh FAWM track for 2026, and also the seventh in which all sounds originate from my old Yamaha RX7 drum machine - with all the drum parts programmed via midi, and with all the pitched sounds being sampled, and then altered through various hardware and software FX units.

On reflection, the title is a bit naff! Never mind. This track came about from a bit of serendipity. I'd programmed an agogo percussion part on my RX7, and accidentally fed it through a comb filter (same sound used on another one of my FAWM tracks 'Corroding Pattern'), and it created this crazy sound that I thought sounded great, and I decided to build the track around it. This sound is what you hear at the very beginning of the piece, and it is where it's title came from.

To me, this track is quite dark and is also quite minimal. There are points where very little is going on at all, which I quite like and is quite unusual for me as I tend to go overboard with overdubbing parts on tracks.
