let me in

Liner Notes

If I spend any more time trying to mix this, I'm never going to start another song....

@dustyoz recorded himself playing guitar, and I built a song around it.

Lyrics

i have this dream seeping into me where she is smiling and alive and she is all you need and i am watching through the blinds, i can’t breathe

the rain pours down, but she never screams and i am pounding at the door screaming let me in (let me in) (oh god, let me in)

watching now, peeking through the blinds and the dress wears looks a lot like mine i watch her smile i watch her smile but i’m doin’ time?

and she’s all those things that i could never be why can’t i breathe?

all those things, all those things, all those things…

I like the experimentation with effects you've been into. The multiple voices is cool, even in unison; it's like a choir.

Oh my gosh this song is cook. I love the weird guitar, it reminds me a lot of the intro to Open Boom by Cake

Yup haunting is a exactly what it is, far away singing,! Some cool lines here as well at that slightly grungy guitar is very cool.

This is delightfully haunting! Really lovely work.

"I have this dream seeping into me" Intriguing! I don't think you did this for the Skirmish, "Nemesis", but it seems to suggest that kind of issue. Maybe you should submit it! It's great that you were able to build this song around just the guitar riff.

Spooky folky gothicy delight, I like the way your lines fall across the melody, it’s unexpected and means the story hits a bit differently piece by piece, and love the harmonies. The guitar and vocal works so well together!
