Nice prompt...

Lyrics

Did I need to be rescued? I guess it’s hard to say for sure Perhaps it was up for review But now I feel secure

You came into my life At a time when I was low You could have cut me with a knife And I’m not sure that I would know

But slowly, surely I came around You lifted me up from the cold ground Showed me there was hope left in the future You did it with such humour

Did I really need to be rescued? I guess you did it anyway And to you I’ll be ever grateful Every time I see a new day

A lovely thank you to someone who was there when you needed them.

This is a really tender take on this prompt, I love what you did with this! "Showed me there was hope left in the future / You did it with such humour" says so much about the relationship in so few words. Really lovely!

Love this! Great way to write a love song. It is sort of flowing from yesterday's prompt I did on Exorcism. Exorcised from the old and saved by the new love. :)

Ah that is sweet. It's true, sometimes we don't know we need to be rescued until we are. I really like the guitar sound in this.

Nice and simple, and hopeful lyrics. I can feel the appreciation in the vocal performance. Well done!
