Really in love with the online sousaphone, so I made it the lead instrument in this one.

Lyrics

She plucked an eyelash planted it in the ground and grew an eyelash garden she turned the caterpillars into eyebrows and the rocks into eyeballs everybody looked at it and it looked at everybody from within its glassy contact-lens conservatory

Dalí, taking notes: "Yes, de eyelash garden." Nods. "An idea muy bien. Maybe wid de melting clockz...? Ah no? Okay, but shame. Some chests with drawers den? No, wait! A rhinozerós!"

Surreal pictures par excellence. 👍

I can relate that you love the sound of the sousaphone! Musicaly weird but in a good way! I love the line: she turned the caterpillars into eyebrows I wish i could make a painting from this imaginary here!

ooooo, very surreal imagery here. That sousaphone has a really cool sound! A contact-lense conservatory is somehow such a vivid and weird image in my brain. I feel like I'm listening to a story told by the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland.

The slow, stately sousaphone is so evocative! And I really like the imagery in the lyrics; there aren't many words, but they have such visceral impact. The first four lines in particular paint such a compelling, poetic picture.

We go grocery shopping once a week, and sometimes there's a guy standing in the parking lot playing a sousaphone to a backing tape (stuff like "Sweet Caroline"). I always give him some cash cos I, too, love the sousaphone. I'm liking how your sousaphone and the bass sort of wander around, sometimes bumping into each other. I'm getting slight "Astral Weeks" vibes here. Yeah, yet another good one.

@sbs

How do you think of these things - lol! The slow vocal delivery is perfect for this.

that sousaphone sounds like an eyeball, and the tinkling that surrounds it must be the eyelashes. something about a garden that looks at the farmers reminds me that democracy can be a spooky row to hoe.

The title and tags drew me in. So unique and original. The words seem so whimsical to me, but the slow pace makes them something more ... surreal? to me. I like the faint echoes in the backing vocals. I like the way the instruments counterpoint and circle around each other.
