Yesterday we visited Tokyo Skytree and the Sumida Aquarium. It was amazing!

The track is created in the generative iOS app called NodeBeat HD. It is an updated version of an app I used when I first started in iOS music making in 2012. NodeBeat has generators (+ symbol) and nodes. The generators and node can move on their own or be locked in place. In addition you have a playable multitouch key bed that follows the selected scale. Sound recorded directly from screen recording, no additional fx or post recording processing.

The challenge with iOS apps is that if the developers don’t continually update them then sometimes they disappear from the App Store and until recently, I thought this app had died, but thankfully not. The scale I used is NodeBeat classic which has always sounded Japanese to me.
