@mdavisto says: @paulhenry sent me some lyrics, written for the 28 Words Later challenge - you can only use 28 unique words. I had to make some changes to permit the middle bit, which required me to open a spreadsheet and keep tally. I swear it's still 28 words.

Felt very naked doing something so up close and exposed, so I wrapped a vocoder around it. There's two different time signatures and tempos, which I've been meaning to do for some time.

This one is for the missus. Love you, gorgeous. 😘

This song just floats beautifully, allowing the listener to take it all in. The vocoder underneath is super cool, I gotta try that. I'm so inspired by a 28 word lyric and melody that conveys such emotion. Well done, both!

Nice mixing on this. It has a lovely atmosphere. I like how the simplicity of the music matches the lyrics. Great job on the 28 word challenge. The lyrics are sparse but they still feel natural.

I like how the whole song and maybe every good relationship lives in those two phrases "We abide" and "I love you. The singing makes it all feel real.

This is a lovely tune, and comparatively stripped back for a mdavisto piece, but still some really lovely production touches here - love the vocoder under the super upfront vocal, the subtle strings, and the mix all round is incredible. Really liked this one

you gad only 28 words, and i see you chose the right ones. the melody and vicals fill those words with something more than words. some of the most lasting structures are made with minimal materials.

Beautiful! Reminded me of Peter Gabriel's love songs. And I get what you mean about feeling "naked" - the simpler the arrangement, the fewer places to hide. I'd be curious to know what your voice sounded like without the vocoder, but I'm certainly not going to judge you for using it, I'd have no leg to stand on! Wonderfully done.
