#worldcancerday #singersongwriter #guywithguitar So many people I know, family & friends, are fighting cancer. Some battles won, some battles lost. I find it incredibly difficult to witness someone being given a terminal prognosis of just months or years. Podsafe audio: https://studio273.bandcamp.com/track/the-end-stage
Lyrics
It is back Youโre sick again They tell you you will die but canโt tell you when
This time itโs incurable Thereโs nothing they can do
It is true itโs killing you It is true itโs killing you
The end-stage They give up They tell you itโs untreatable The spreading will not stop
Medication just buys you time But nothing blocks the flood of tears you cannot hide
Youโre worried โbout your loved ones How do they get through?
It is true itโs killing you It is true itโs killing you
Soldier on Itโs not fair Check-up after check-up Constantly aware
This time itโs incurable Thereโs nothing they can do
It is true itโs killing you It is true itโs killing you Itโs killing, killing, killing, killing you

I'm so confused, why am I so happy listening to this song. I should be miserable, also I have the very real problem that I will burst into random singing with "it's true, it's killing you" in our local co-op. Absolute killer, pun intended, I loved it.
Wow. No ironic twist or comic relief in the lyrics, and sometimes that's just the hard truth one has to grasp. But you presented them in an upbeat, catchy song that seems like a raised middle finger to cancer. And rightfully so. Seriously, fuck that shit.
Your music always puts a big smile on my face, and your lyrics are really making me think about my loved ones, especially my mom, who battled and won the fight, but it's still something that lingers in the back of my mind! Anyways, fantastic job on this tune โค๏ธ
i gotta be honest: i lost 3 people over the past year in this exact way. fought it off, in remission, and came back with a vengeance. itโs part of the reason i didnโt have it in me to play my part in hosting 50/90, i just knew i wasnโt going to be up for the emotional labor of running the website for 3 months while fielding that.
but anyway โ about the song! i often enjoy these kinds of โcognitive dissonanceโ songs that are poppy and singable but about darker subject matter, and this is definitely one of them!
Very catchy song again Max... despite the difficult subject that touches everyone at some time or another

Very catchy as others have said-I like that aspect of it. I feel like this sentiment could be applied more broadly to what is going on! Great work!
