Another track with all sounds originating from my old Yamaha RX7 drum machine - with all the drum parts programmed via midi, and with all the pitched sounds being sampled, and then altered through various hardware and software FX units.

This track is a little bit more brooding and melodic. I've used a 'slicer' effect a lot on this one, which forms much of the track's rhythmic movement. The leading melodic sound is the RX7's 'steel drum' sound which sounds a bit like the kind of sound you would get on a home/toy keyboard in the late 1980s. I also used the 'cuica' sound which sounds a bit like a small dog barking. I was going for a late 80s techno vibe - 808 State, A Guy Called Gerald, early Orbital, Stakker Humanoid etc. etc.

Caught that vibe perfectly. Making cheesy old gear like that sound good is a nifty skill.

Duuuuuuuude. This thing pulls you IN! Super creative use of your gear. Solid, great job! And at 4:00 on the dot....dang! So good. Really stuck the landing, too. :-)

Wow. This is really really good! Groovy as hell and very atmospheric! I like I like I like! Well done.

Ah yess this is my jam. I can just imagine this running through a tracker program like the good old days. Use of space is great, evolving soundscape. The mixup at the halfway point is just peak.

Wow. ...I mean... How is this still a zong? This is awesome! Every few measures it changes to something new, while keeping in the same overall theme. I think the drums are an absolute blast that keep blowing new energy into this thing, especially with the toms, such as around 2.42. And with all the reverb I really dig this. This would work perfectly on some kind of futuristic fast-paced racing game. Especially the part starting at 4.10 where all brakes go loose.
