11: Don Quixote Found Audio
Liner Notes
Recorded found audio wandering through Don Quixote Ueno, Tokyo. Added drums from BattleStation, bass from Moog Model 15, and a drone from a recent app called ExoSphere by one of the most innovative iOS music developers Igor Vasiliev. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/exosphere/id6748644082
Note: I have no promotional relationship with the iOS app developers I have been mentioning in my liner notes. I’m just hoping to bring awareness to apps I find cool and fun.

Reading this at 03:38 local as I’m messed up by the time change. Had to look up Harland Williams as I didn’t know who he was. Turns out we’re both Canadian and I’m four months older than him. So there’s that.
Drums are from BattleStation, another iOS app I’ve been using this year. So not samples but synthesized, Bass is Moog Model 15.
Very inventive-- to discover and develop the sounds and rhythyms of everyday life. I've tried doing a bit of that over the years with recorded sounds from nature, but never occurred to me to try urban sounds as well. Very cool!
Thanks. Glad you liked it. I have also not used urban audio before, but the soundscape in the store was too overwhelming and engaging not to take out my phone and capture it.
I knew you were too good to be real!!! You’re out here shilling for big bruit. If I wanna survive on gushers dipped in MSG and deep fried that’s my business! lol I don’t know why I became Harland Williams for a second there. No I definitely appreciate all the gear you e been throwing out there!
The found audio is super cool great drum samples I think I hear a 909 hat in there. Delay bass! Always a fan of that! This is cool!
