A made up word that is a homophone of another real word :) Went back to playing with some drum loops, but played all the other instruments. Writing came together quick - demos always take me longer cause I get too invested.

this is fantastic! great song, great production, great performance. Love those short and to the point lines, with lots of space in the arrangement to hear everything- its so deeply funky and groovy and memorable while engaging the mind as well. This sounds more like a finished thing then a demo to me!

The intro instantly grabbed me - fun and singable. The contrast of the carefree nature of that figure with the subject matter is a an interesting choice. Its disarming and then you get hit with this conflict. I've a soft spot for that progression ( III - VI - i - VI ). It always sounds so cinematic. Using the A maj is a tasty substitution. I love the overall feel and production. This is cool.

Great infectious groove, great sound design. That right-channel business in the bridge is really tasty - and when things start getting gritty & crackling it's an appropriately-distressed sound in keeping with the theme.

Your made up word has the value of making sense as if it should've been a word for a long time, and gives a familiar "oh yeah, I remember that person" vibe that makes it so relatable.
