Anarchist’s Bridge
Skirmish: Bridge(s) or Bridging (@kahlo2013)Liner Notes
Lyrics
You know your way around But nothing is the same On the other side of town They play a different game
The stakes are higher Watch out for the wire They’ll say that I’m a liar But you’ll see
Anarchist’s Bridge Is different every day No one knows the toll Because no one wants to pay How was it ever built When no one could agree But who will build a bridge For you and me
Could I change your mind And go back to the start Could we go back in time And take this thing apart
The bridge remains a riddle Everything in code We could meet in the middle Stop traffic on the road
The stakes are higher Watch out for the wire They’ll say that I’m a liar But you’ll see
Anarchist’s Bridge Is different every day No one knows the toll Because no one wants to pay How was it ever built When no one could agree But who will build a bridge For you and me

Awesome write. I got from this, that it was talking about all the political agitators out there making noise and making things worse, and what about you and me, the average law biding person who may not agree with the agitators and who just wants stability and to live in peace without chaos. Nice sounding tune, guitar and vocals.
I really love your title/hook! "Anarchist’s Bridge" sets the stage and gets me thinking immediately! That chorus rocks! I feel it is about the need for better bridges and this song really holds up under that thought! Nicely done!
I'm not sure what it means either, but I like it! Some great chord changes in there too.
I love how this can be interpreted in many ways, open ended. Love the line "Can we go back in time and take this thing apart." Anarchist is usually in favor of a free society, self governance. Thought provoking and cool take on the bridge skirmish!
