After I posted "Hey-a!," I ate the 2nd half of the banana which I had peeled earlier. I looked at a solitary grapefruit and realized that what I was eating was indeed my last banana. That's when I sang the first line of (what became) this... and was back to the guitar.
Lyrics
I need to go to the store to buy some fruit While I'm there is there something I could get for you It's not outta my way, no, it isn't any trouble at all
I have these three hungry mouths to feed How's your doggie? Let me know if there's anything you need It's not outta my way, no, it isn't any trouble at all
Believe me It's easy to Do anything You need me to
(Just) Give me your list before I head out Don't worry about it, don't you ever doubt it It's not outta my way, no, it isn't any trouble at all
It's not outta my way, no, it isn't any trouble at all

Love the whole thing, that bridge is really great. And your playing all around is just perfect. Nice to have a song about someone being kind, we need more of that.
@jdschramm right on! thanks so much for having a listen ((d[-_-]b))
I can't help imagining Leon Redbone singing this one (though he would make it sound much crankier). Love the the bouncy feel of this (that lift on "gimme your list" is delightful) and the way the lyrics hang out on top of your picking.
No doubt, there are a handful of songs in my catalog that belong in the Leon Redbone songbook.
Love this chill little ditty. You have a wonderful voice and it fits this helpful song. Lovely harmonica playing to. Excellent.
So neighborly! I feel like I’ve been using the word “charming” a lot in my comments, but there are a lot of really charming songs this year and this ranks right up there! Nice harmonica moment and lovely chord progression, too.
