Exit After Exit Lyrics (c)2026 Ken Mattsson/BeaconBeats Music

Verse 1 Old bike in the shed Picture overhead Table from my Mom Got to stay here, can’t move on

Verse 2 Bad job, Little Pay Friends moved far away Future nothing left Emptiness and ego death

Chorus Sunglasses on my head Road lines flash by instead Vacant skies, vacant dreams Traffic signs, next to bleed Exit after Exit, what’s next?

Interlude

Verse 3 Motel. A soft bed Life with no regret Place to sit and jam Could be who I am

Verse 4 Maybe paradise Maybe cold as ice Don’t know ‘ti I’m there Try it if I dare

Chorus

Verse 5 Last stop Morgontown Last place that I’ve found Stay here or move on Only ’til my mind is gone

Outro Exit after Exit, what’s next?

This has such a great groove! Love the vibe - the music is perfect! Great bass line, wonderful guitar, cool lyrics and melody, awesome vocals, and yes, perfect cowbell! Great hook as well!

Thank you! It was so fun to make together

That guitar is so pleasant to listen to, love the big crunchy chords. Great whimsical vocals. I'm impressed with how well the simple cowbell keeps this tune together and driving forward percussively. Loving the bass movement up and down the chords.

Thank you for those insights!

You got a great groove together. Especially the guitar and vocals work together well, and the bass also jumped on it. Lyrically this reminded me a bit of a road movie. If there were a 5th track, I'd wish some dirty heavy drums! Good work!

I agree! Thank you!
