I'm sorry for your loss, truly. You honored them perfectly. Those layers are amazing, there is so much space for each part to make its mark. This is beautiful. Thanks for bringing it out of you.

Thank you for listening and for your kind words.

Sad subject, delicately handled. Love the laid back groove of this. Someone once said that suicide is permanent solution to a temporary problem. I had a song on previous form that covered that, written by @cindyrella as I recall.

Right in the feels. But you did put a TW in.

Very nice.

Wow, such beautiful production and your vocals are so well mic'd/mix'd/sung... Gives this such a full and emotional vibe. And on that note, the entire song feels so full. My favorite part it the bridge and solo. Personally, because I'm so long-winded with everything I write, I always admire lyrics like these as an opportunity for me to learn about how concise lyrical elements can go a LONG way, and can be part of the entire musical composition (as opposed to how I tend to write--with (too) many words, and lyrics as a separate story)

And I am sorry to hear about your friend. There is something to be said of those whose absences inspire the creation of art such as this. Well, I imagine there are many things "to be said"--your song is one of those things; I always tend to fixate on the dichotomy, like I'm so glad the art exists, but of course, I wish it never had a reason to existing in the first place. It's just like... we do what we do.... And the impacts of our relationships are so vast and complex, and so forever lasting, as far as I can tell.

Best wishes to you, and I hope your album comes together nicely.

Wow thank you I truly appreciate your kind words. Yes the song was written about me trying to understand the mindset of someone who's choosing to go through with such a thing. I think that "rope burn, it's gravity's turn to make things right" is probably the darkest lyric I ever hope to write.

Thanks for listening I'll check out your music also!
