Tell a Friend
Liner Notes
6
My friends tell me the best stuff. If you're not running your mandolin through an Eric Johnson preset, you should.
Written and recorded between 9:38 AM and 11:01 AM Feb 6th, 2026.
I play #mandocello, #mandolin, #drums, and #vocals on this track.
Might take a brief FAWM break over these next couple days.
Lyrics
River’s getting full, fish and bricks and dollar bills Swimming is for fools, walk the polyester shell Tapdance on the trash, let me catch your eye Grab my hand, I'll pull you in, let's dive, let's die
Tell a friend how sweet I am Tell a friend you lost your mind Tell a friend, we'll have a grand ol’ time
Silver's getting dull, perfect plans have gone to waste People feel the pull, put em right back in their place Dripping from the dregs, give it one more try Grab my hand, I'll pull you in, let's die
Tell a friend how sweet I am Tell a friend you lost your mind Tell a friend, we'll have a grand ol' time
Filter’s getting foul, predators and points of view Sifting through the sand, tryna find something to do Gold dust on the bed, treasures lost to time Grab my hand, I'll pull you in, let's dive, let’s die
Tell a friend how sweet I am Tell a friend you lost your mind Tell a friend, we'll have a grand ol' time

Whoa, this one knocked my socks off!
This rocks. Grunge needs more mandolin. Love the fuzzy vocals, as well as the dynamic between verse and chorus.
Damn, anyone who can play drums on their demos (particularly this well) is already legend status in my eyes. This is a total bop, massive energy, love those distorted filtered vocals (you’ve got an awesome rock scream btw!), and the guitar work’s also stellar. And you did all this in a couple of hours… you crazy musical wizard you. Big fan already…
such a giddyup of a vibe! There is the perfect amount of fuzz to the voice and distortion in the guitars. Nice drums. Loved this throughout; you rock!
This is super slick. The vocal delivery in this is everything. This just oozes cool
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS! So much dirt and grit. CAN NOT SIT STILL! Leg is stomping of it's own accord. This is awesome! Love effing end, too. (Almost swore there, I got too excited.)
Hard to find the superlatives. Awesome production, playing, singing, lyrics, arrangement the lot ... keep churning 'em out and we'll keep listening!
WOAH! The vocal production is fantastic! Absolutely loving everything about this! Been listening to your tunes and they are all next-level cool!
Thank you!!! 52 Blue was an IMMEDIATE favorite when I heard it, can't wait to hear more from you!
Love this one too. Getting Spin Doctors vibes - but if they were from Seattle.
