Liner Notes

First song written.

My theme this year is 'commit', so I went straight at it with a song about committing.

This turned into a bit of a banger. Hang in for the chorus!

I produced a rough demo, which I sang with all the original arrangement, chords, timing, etc., and, because time is tight, created a cover using AI.

The result is an anthem!

We're all committing to writing 14 songs. Go for it!

#rock #pop #electronic #anthem.

Lyrics

[verse 2] I was one who was waiting, Arguing and debating, Wanting for things to become right, To seize the day, to take the night,

So I lingered, and I remained, I ventured nothing, nothing gained, Shackled by fear and by regret, Always soon, but not just yet,

[Pre-chorus] And nothing is what I have to lose, I have to move, I have to choose.

[Chorus] I commit I commit Not backing down, I won't quit, I commit I commit, This is the way, this is it,

[verse 1] No fear, uncertainty or doubt. I'm turning inside out. Give me the time to explain, I'm dumping out my brain,

So many paths never taken, All others are mistaken, I don't want to cause offence, By not sitting on the fence,

[pre-chorus] Roll a dice, make up your mind, There is never a right time,

[middle eight] Oh, Time, you don't get it back, so I'm told. Don't want too many regrets when I'm old. So, I decided to let perfection go, It's better to do than not. Now I know,

[Chorus] I commit I commit Not backing down, I won't quit, I commit I commit, This is the way, this is it,

This is it.

I like the lyrical topic. It can truly hard to actually step off the ledge and truly commit to something. I like the resolute attitude the lyrics convey. As to your AI process, I've thought about trying the exact approach to see how it would produce the song compared to how I would do it. I already know AI would sound better. 😄

The timbre of that AI vocal voice is so cool, damn, I really like it. So much perfect rasp and belt. I really need to learn how to use AI.

This definitely feels like a Natasha Bedingfield banger for sure. Tons of soaring goodness. Well done!
