Lyrics
I Ain’t Dead Yet
I got an anxious woman But after work each day Once I hit the door She needs me right away ‘Can’t beg for mercy No use to scream or fight She always wins She keeps me up all night.
[Chorus] But I need some rest But I need some sleep Though I ain’t dead yet I soon might be She knows I want to please her She knows my love is strong But though I Ain’t Dead Yet I might be before long.
[Verse Two] She makes me wash the dishes Before I’ve had a crumb Once I sweep the floors Another chore’s begun Is there an answer For my domestic blues? My back is sore My hands are blistered too.
[Repeat Chorus]
[Bridge] That’s it, I’m taking charge Before I’m six feet underground I’m tapping our account To pay the maid I found.
[Repeat Chorus]
[Outro] No, I Ain’t Dead Yet But I might be before long.

Thanks, @timfatchen. When I pitched the song, they told me to rewrite the second verse and the bridge to match the story of the first verse. What do you think?
As I use the tag #notdeadyet a lot, I had to come in. Amused at the switch away from what one (male) would expect, held off till the bridge! Love in a househusband... nice foot-tapping stuff but you could set these lyrics in just about any style and they'd work well!enjoyed this.
