Lyrics

can't decide to walk or ride to stop and fight or lay down and die

to live for today or to stop everything its like a game you play back and forth like a swing

you can't always go with the flow you need to use everything that you know there's no in-between above or below you've got to choose or down you'll go

the crack of the bone or the empty lonely drone it's a fact that it's fiction strangely self inflicted

stand up or get thrown...

Great driving momentum. Nice, assured vocals fit the music perfectly. Its a strong little tune and I like this a lot.

Thank you for that. I’ve been trying to sing with more confidence but I always struggle with that. To all the great singers out there, my hats off to you.

Loved this! Your lyrics sit perfectly in your production. Super enjoyable to listen to. I appreciated how you ended it with that “stand up or get thrown” line.

Thank you! Well, In my life I find that ruminating about things is way harder on my mental health than dealing with the actual thing that is bothering me, but the first steps always seem the hardest. Maybe it's me reflecting on that.

Your production skills are superb, especially under FAWM conditions. Love the subtle synths that come in towards the end.

I've worked really hard at streamlining how I record these days and with setting up templates, grouping track, using buses and saving my workflow environment I have sped things up exponentially. I used to start from scratch every. single. time... and that is so much work. like, that used to take me the better portion of the day. I just want to record and forget about the technicals and focus on the writing and playing part. I recommend everyone puts some time into learning how to do that.

Oh yeah that's nice, yeah templating workflows is a benefit of DAWs that I never really mastered back when I used DAWs, the last few years I've been on a kinesthetic, no-general-purpose-computers kick so I use a Zoom R20 & I am slowly accumulating production as well as efficiency skills on the device just from periodically trying something new that turns out well so I keep it in my repertoire. But as to templating, at first thought it seemed like that just wouldn't be possible on that device, but it DOES have the ability to copy a project, so in theory I could make an empty project & reserve tracks for certain instruments & pre-dial in a good mix & EQ, & then just clone that project endlessly in place of using the new project button. That's actually an interesting concept I want to explore now, thanks for the idea! This is the beauty of FAWM right here! 😁

Nice, I'm sure you'll master it. I had a digital mixer/ recorder and I just couldn't figure the thing out. I've been using Ableton so long I dunno what I'd do without it. I can't tell you how much time I save now though with templates.. I can just tweak and record versus construct everything. I can be stubborn so it took me forever to even start doing that. Sad trombone.

What a great mix. I’m sitting in my wife’s hospital waiting room (nothing too serious) listening on headphones. Such a great stereo image and the vocal is spot on. Intriguing lyrics. Great.

I appreciate you for listening. I feel like maybe it's too short? The lyrics I guess are a little open to interpretation, like is it about apathy or something bigger? I dunno.
