I started listening and then read your liner notes. The story is so similar to any loss - the waves bring comfort and sorrow repeatedly over time. I didn’t realize it was an actual loss at sea for a minute - what a tragedy. Gorgeous guitar, melody and vocals. And a one take! Wow!

This is lovely! I don't know the story, but the pairing of the imagery with the rise and fall of the melody and those circling picked chords is really soothing and restful. With just enough longing.

I just learned of this story. A father and son, a fisheries observer, crew who left lovers behind, and (most tragic IMO) two crew members not personally noteworthy in any other way. "Il Mare, she gives / but tonight, tonight, she is / taking, taking" That incompleteness is powerful. Taking on water? Taking lives? Yes and yes and more. Your gentle performance suits the material so very well.

This is wonderful... the sea is truly and amazing being? It's so alive, so powerful, so beautiful, your vox and melody are so soothing, almost has a guiding feel to it... This is so wonderful... Thank so much for sharing!
