Do You Like Our Owl?
Liner Notes
Today's instrumental inspired by a #MovieQuote is, of course, taken from Blade Runner (1982) spoken by Sean Young's character early on in the movie. Lots of Heavyocity Damage 2, a bunch of software and hardware synths, the inevitable electric guitars (played with a pick, fingers and an #e-Bow), and a #ChapmanStick. With that combination, you're in full-on #cinematic #prog territory.

We're on a journey, great sounding mix, lot's of delicious textures and ear candy, very cinematic and epic
I don't remember much about the original Blade Runner, yet this puts me right in it. Picturesque dystopian scenery. Very cool!
I had to check the chapman stick track, of course! Great stuff - particularly the triumphant section around 2:12.
Oh this absolutely feels very fun and 80s and action movie. I really do like your owl!
Yes I like your owl. Especially at the end where you pushed it through a bit crusher I guess
Another killer
Tonnes of imagery in this, it's like riding the elevator on your way up to the final boss.
Oh yeah! Hits that Vangelis vibe hard but is bigger, more expansive, tells a different story. Love the bass melody, love that simple chittering ARP. Really enjoyed the organ texture that comes in at the end too. What a cracking piece. Bladerunner 3 needs this for its opening titles!
Really nice old sci fi atmosphere, love those sequencers and bowed guitars
This is like an immersive trek through diverse soundscapes...the key change halfway through offers an engaging contrast. I love the colors you've conjured here...definitely cinematic and expansive!
The way you use textures in all of your creations is inspiring. This piece continues that trend. Also, I am duly motivated to replace my broken eBow.
It's a superb owl!
Immediately sounds like its from a film - you start looking for the video or start to see it in your mind - i have a clear picture . that organ stars for sure
Synth+Damage+guitars, a marriage made in heaven! I could use Damage in all of my tracks, but I try not to! That lovely organ snuk in near the end too, nice This hits the sweet spot for me, an early FAWM fave.
God I love Blade Runner ( and the sequel) Everything about those films is just so well done......just like everything in this track. Damage 2 is such a beast.
heavy. I have been cyberpunking a lot lately! (including fiction and non-fiction from the Blade Runner universe). Love those low-end walk-ups (throughout) with the descending guitar chunks (around 3:01). Nice glitchy feel to the perc. I should get my e-bow out again. It's been a minute. Very bright center (2:12 mark or there abouts). Love that organ at 3:30!
Wow what an atmosphere. We're immediately off on a journey with lush sounds weaving in and out. Love just the subtle touches of percussion and occasional bits of arp appearing. Moody yet intriguing. Sounds like an epic project you've undertaken here and it is an undeniable win. Hats off to you, sir!
What a wonderfully ominous and dramatic beginning. I like the alternating voices between the bass, guitar and keys. The e-bow sounds so cool. I really like the sonic atmosphere you created. Cool change at 2:15. Oh love the organ! Great ending too.
Cool! Very industrial yet cinematic. Sounds era and aesthetic appropriate for Blade Runner too. I like the movement the guitar adds though out. Nice work!
Powerful, yet with movement. I can see this in a movie setting, perhaps as accompaniment to travelling in something LARGE.
