Saw this skirmish about 30 minutes after it started, and decided I wanted to do it, but didn't have time to start until a couple of hours later. I think I still got it mostly done within an hour. Started on guitar and may ultimately record it on that instead of the uke, but I really need to change my guitar strings and I was getting annoyed with intonation issues, so I switched to the other instrument next to my desk lol

The steady simple ukulele strum really drives this along, no pyrotechnics, just good solid clever lyrics and melody. Thanks for that.

Your lyric makes your point so clearly and asks pertinent questions about curious things like scriptural guides which really could be most anything. The last line is a killer. Fine work.

Really, really love this. The rhyme scheme in the verses is so clever. The contrasting rhymes at the end adds an extra twist. 'save me from myself' 'you ask how I know what's right Without a scriptural guide's Both hit hard. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

yeah skirmished often make you grab whats nearby. The uke holds the song well! This is one that my mind drifts to a big production when normally i see your songs more stripped back. Its a really catchy song! I really think you have something here- great skirmish , well for anything actually

Thank you! This one started with the chorus just kind of...falling out fully formed in terms of lyrics and melody, and then it took me a bit to figure out what chords belonged under it without losing it lol

Really love this, so authentic and so much truth in there. I think we have all been in the narrator's shoes here! I found myself singing along by the end ( despite the fact I'm on voice rest!)
