hokey! Getting a bit of a late start to this FAWM but I'm here baby.

This one I made after a conversation with a friend about those moments where you just have uber mojo crazy aura and can never recapture the moment again. I'm trying to write more literally these days, but like actually s a y i n g something is kinda scary and I coat it with layers of metaphor and I'm trying to find a balance where the point isn't totally lost. Feels like I veer either one way or the other p heavily.

This song felt like kind of a banal subject so I feel like I mayyy have tried to overcompensate with the harmony, also. And I feel like it needs drums at some point. But we're here!

Ah! So cool! The sparse guitar is such a silvery tone throughout and your melodies have such fun jazz components. I especially love your trailing ornamentation at the end of phrases. Great harmonies too! These lyrics hit home for me as a socially awkward neurodivergent person. I have had nights like this and that self-doubt you express at the beginning is very real.

Ahhh, let's go. An excellent and exciting progression. The "so fuck it up honey" is glorious. The guitar/vocal harmony chord on "queen the night" is a stunner. Solange-esque.

"so fuck it up honey, i am really funny, i do gotta lotta shit to say" are great lyrics and the delivery was perfect. Love the harmonies. I think it was fun that you played with harmony and disharmony, I think that way you find the sweet spot.

I see what you mean about the harmony. Maybe a bit much - it's far from banal and the mood of the lyrics is so strong you don't want to distract from that. That "queen for a night" chorus is powerful

Pretty pretty vocals! I like the jazz/R&B chords. It gives it some real soul. Harmonized vocals are very tasty. The guitar tone is nice and warm and complements your voice well

Ohh I love hearing youdo your thing. This was so good. The first two lines immediately pulled me in, your vocal delivery kept me interested amd engaged. Very cool.
