I had the Vital VST installed from last FAWM but never really used it. So in this piece I used a bunch of presets from that, alongside a piano and horn. The whole piece is in 5/4 time. The off-scale notes in the melody kinda happened by accident, but I think it works really well and helps creating a bit of an Eastern-sounding melody.

5/4 is really interesting to work with, makes me find new melodies and counterrhythms I wouldn't otherwise. And for some reason it also often turns into an eastern vibe. I like the the spaciousness of this, how it stops and starts and seem to run away in different directions all the time. Otherworldly is a good title, it's hard to nail down what it is, just fleeting around between the known and unknown.

Very beautiful composition, transformed my place into a fascinating scene from a movie about travelling other worlds. Very cool take on the odd signature. Feels natural. A wonderful listen.
