Liner Notes

I wrote some of this a while ago and returned to it this evening. I added a change with different chords and some more words.

Northward Hill Nature Reserve is in the county of Kent (UK) where I live. I started writing this after reading an article about it.

I suppose it’s more about retreating, getting space, nature, escape, good company, reflections… I don’t know!

It’s still unfinished but I’m happy I added some more to it.

The guitar is so warm and the harmonica really melds together the accompaniment. Beautiful tender vocals too. I like the chordal shift at the bridge and higher melodic line there. Very enjoyable listen 💚

I like gloomy atmosphere like this...so serene and calm. That harmonica is just so perfect addition to already beautiful song.

Oh that beautiful pause after "still" - perfect! I really like your vocals and phrasing. Subtle use of the harmonica - just right for this gentle song. Oh wait now I am not sure if it is a harmonica - it could be keys. It might be a melodica. Either way it is a nice touch. Really pretty song!

Hehe! Thank you. It is a harmonica on this occasion but I also play a melodica which features on others of mine on here. I like them as they sound good even with little talent!
