New Air

Liner Notes
tried to write something like owen ashworth. not sure i accomplished it but it's a nice little country song. happy with how the guitar turned out. wrote a chorus too kinda but ended up feeling like i didn't need it.
Lyrics
I saw that photo of you again And it was just like the first time Pity simmering in your eyes And firing just half of a smile
I heard you're breathing in new air now I'm sure it's never been sweeter And when she tells you you're in the sun I'm sure you just can't help but believe her
I bet you heard that I ran back home I bet you heard that I've been sick since December I bet you heard that I turned them in And that I've done so much that I can't remember
I heard you're settling down for good I've heard you're taking up jogging I've seen your body on the frozen lake Just spitting, and chattering, and coughing
I saw that photo of you again It's got everything but sound and momentum I wish that I could just crawl back home And beg for a taste of your venom

This is great! The blend of acoustic and electric guitar sound fantastic. Your layered vocals elevates the song. Wonderful work!
I love this! The layered vocals and guitars in the part leading up to the last verse are beautiful. I love the line about the photo having “everything but sound and momentum,” that whole last verse is great.
Dig this one. Soft harms sound really beautiful. 😮💨

Instantly catchy melody with great lyrics and performance. Love the harmony and elec layers coming in! So full and gorgeous.
I know I texted you this but this song is so evil and gut-wrenching. I can totally see some lap steel being on this song. The last verse is devastating.
