Don't Let The Right Wing Divide Us This Christmas

Liner Notes

#fuc #christmas Day One - Christmas Day.

Christmas songs are not just for Christmas, they are for life :)

Don't worry about the chorus, it's just a line from a book I read over Christmas that seemed to be a little short on sense :)

Lyrics

Don’t let the far right divide us this Christmas It's hard enough just surviving at Christmas Without piss barrels singing carols this Christmas And changing the words, such a tawdry business Hark! the gammon boys do sing “Steak, steak and minestrone “

Their appalling caterwauling is destroying Christmas “Keep What we’ve got” tommyrot ruins Christmas, their Racist Dream’s not what we mean by the song “White Christmas” Don’t let the far right divide us this Christmas Tommy and his right wing cronies sing - “Steak, steak and minestrone “

While being stuck with a racist family member is not just for Christmas, no, it is forever - Spit out Brussels sprout as hopefully you'll remember Who’s the one to blame for ruining your December ?

Thanks, sir. Obviously I agree with your wisdom on this matter :) j$

Definitely got to save this one for this year's carol singing. No Brussels sprouts, just steak steak and minestrone.

Lol you always make me laugh. That "White Christmas" line is gold. You have a unique approach to the world. Which I of course appreciate a lot.

I was pleased with the 'white christmas' line as soon as I thought of it, glad you picked up on it. J$

I'm never gonna look at Bing Crosby the same way again.

I want to hear that sung in a creche by a kids choir. They would probably emphasis on "piss barrels" and "steack, steack and minestrone" but I feel it would suit the song nicely.

Thanks, Ambroise. I agree but a lack of access to a kids choir rather stymies me! I know your February's rather busy but I have an itchy bass finger! j$

Your songs are always fun to listen to. The wordplay and delivery are great, and I liked your use of the uke, but even more so that carousel organ, which you've used wonderfully here.

Love the lyrics here. Hark the gammon boys indeed. Now grinning from ear to ear, thanks

I'll have to save this one up for ten and half months' time. Maybe by then they'll all have spontaneously combusted though? We can but hope I suppose...

Hah! You must see that my 'Holidays and Holy Days' concept this year allows me to finish Christmas songs that I was planning, despite the date, with impunity :)
