Liner Notes

This song came about from drum track no. 2 that I recorded on Jan 31st. Listening to the track pushed me into strange regions where I seldom travel. Lots of dissonance, distortion and saturation. Lyrics are a stream-of-consciousness digestion of some ufology literature I've been reading lately. The title is from a chapter in John Keel's The Mothman Prophecies.

Lyrics

slender salesman with a briefcase full of gadgets came by earlier asking you by name said he's eager to meet you

he had curious eyes and nervous fingers an odor that stayed and still lingers well dressed for sure but i know nothing more not his name or from where he came the accent was strange so i reckon he'd come a long long way and couldn't stay

left a card said to call come the next venusian wednesday

you look like the type of guy who can operate machinery did you see the display in the sky last night?

from ultraviolet to infrared from ultraviolet to infrared

left a card said to call come the next venusian wednesday

on second thought never mind on second thought never mind

This is really cool. Great music and I like the theme of the lyrics

This is a headbanger. Great electric tones and groove. Some grunge vibes in there too! I appreciate the references to different literature in your songs, reminds me of some well known songs written by Neil Peart.

This is me turning the volume way up. I love the heavy bass groove.

Love the chord choice and instrumentation! You definitely conveyed the mystery/uncertainty.

Great music that's perfect for this message, and I love it when your vocal comes in. Your lyrics are intriguing and delightfully creepy. Love them! And your delivery is perfect. Nice "work!" 😀

Very, very nice song--love the "psychedlia" if that's the proper term. Great music and vocal! ❤️

Great! Really good. Love the meshing guitars and the way the bass grooves with the drums. And the way it all drops out when the vocals come in - brilliant stuff

This is great! Love the fullness of it. There's a lot going on, but it never overwhelmed me. Nice balance here. 😀

Love the guitars, the vibes, the mystery !

I've just finished my second listen; the slushiness to this and the pacing with the drums; very shoe-gaze and reminds me a lot of that earlier vibe. Very well done and excited to hear more from you.

Cool sound, your vocals are perfect for delivering this type of lyric, i love the idea of a Venusian Wednesday as though its something different or special

@ayais

Like the scenario a lot. Title mystery matched by the wall of surf-slush sliding lovely dissonance. Really good.

Dude, I love your new sound! These disharmonic bits give more kind of a indie shoegaze vibe, but also that strange chords of a spy movie. Don't know how to name that.

Just the intro made me want to listen more and I was rewarded. Very nice production and an enchanting sound landscape. Suits your voice very well.
