abundant light may turn our world to ash
Liner Notes
this song is about my d&d character! it wasn't originally, but halfway through i noticed the parallels.... so that's what it is now!
Lyrics
why don't you take the easy way out tie stones around your ankles and drown i know you're tired of this town there's no harm done so drag yourself down
i will not take the coward's way out (why won't you just listen to me) untie these ropes dragging me down (i'm what's protecting you) this town's unkind to me (nooo) i can set myself free (nooooooo) you once were important to me (you are still important to me)

thank you! that's so nice of you to say :))
Those harmonies are so good! This almost had the feeling of sitting in a tavern listening to the music. You’ve got a great voice.
thanks!! i do love a folky taverny vibe 😀
This is so gentle and tender. I like the harmony over the soft electrics. Sounds like there is a lot more to the story and perhaps more character sketches here.
thanks so much! there is a lot to this character, i get good inspiration from him :)
One of the many things I like about creating is letting the piece show you what it's about. Anyways, cool dark vibe overall, kind of like Nine Inch Nails type of thing. Nice vocal delivery, and the harmonies are great.
thanks! i don't know much by NIN - maybe i should listen more...
The lyrics could really be applicable to many situations! It's cool that you saw your character in them! Lovely, lovely vocals. So tender and deliberate delivery. The harmonies are beautiful.
thank you! such kind words :)
the contemplative guitar (the melody, the tone, the touch) is something to love <3 and the harmonies/layers, as said. wow, I'm just so excited that I get to hear so awesome music here!
