Lyrics

I miss going to parties When I was underage And out of sync I miss stumbling home at night, because It finally gave me time to think

I miss going to parties When solo cups were Ten bucks at the door You tried to make eyes With some blurry prize, who maybe This time you could try not to bore

I miss going to parties Standing in the line For a piss and a keg Waiting for somebody to text about The other party that they hit up instead

CHORUS Oh to be so Young and dumb and free Browning out The real world and Our own anxieties

I miss puking my brains out Screaming down the streets With all my friends, or maybe just some Guy I met at the party, bonding Over nights that never end

I miss going to parties I think I know your roommate Oh, they're not home? Well that's okay cuz now I'm Stepping over stains on the kitchen floor In the hopes that I could feel less alone

CHORUS Oh to be so Young and dumb and free Browning out The real world and Our own anxieties

self-medicating social lives as far as we can see across this cramped apartment Taking shots of who we'd rather be

I miss going to parties I miss going to parties Oh wait I mean I don't miss going to parties I guess that I just miss not giving a shit About a 401k or the third world war But I guess I gotta deal with it

I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties I miss going to parties

Love, love the sound of this. It's everything I love, but can never write. The chorus, with those vocal leaps is super catchy and ear catching. Excellent work. People do love parties, don't they? But I'm you, it miss being carefree.

This is so effing good! Am I allowed to swear here?

Ah, that guitar sounds so great. This is so crisp and catchy...and you almost make me miss the basement parties of my youth. This is winning in every respect. Oh! You really bring it home at the end. (I love all those tags. I don't know anything about genres these days. Might as well claim them all)

I feel like this is an incredibly catchy and clever song. That hook is incredible and the vibe is vibing double time! You have the perfect vocal to deliver that line just right as well. I don’t think it would be as effective in any other tone or timbre. Outstanding song! Thanks for sharing it with us! This is gonna be stuck in my head all day tomorrow lol

Great song! I love specificity of the images which we can all relate with - and the chorus is so satisfying, esp with those high harmonies. And oh boy the claps at the end - love the claps!!

great lyrics! i, too, miss not worrying about the third world war.

sigh memories. silly college parties … not feeling like every day is literally the end of the world on a geopolitical level … tomato, tomahto

I love the way this song builds from the first verse to the first chorus. You do such a great job describing that stage of life and putting it into a musical package that's even more fun than going to parties! And that ending about what you actually miss...chef's kiss!

Haha thank you! Nostalgia is a very weird drug and I wanted to acknowledge that.

This completely rips. Love the huge chorus. Hell yes.

WE WILL MAKE THE CHORUS RIP

This is a blast from the past about being young and partying. You've really encapsulated the feelings into music, whether it be throwing up or getting a text about another party. Great vocals and the lyrics really hit.

Funny you should say that! I was talking to an Emerson student not too long and was sort of surprised at how little they were partying in college. Which at first struck me as absurd — til I realized, well, actually, that whole social experiment also sorta sucked, even though it made me some great friends and memories.

Gotta agree! Learned hard lessons!

Lyrically it's Jeff; musically it's giving The Impossibles.

I'll allow it~!
