Lyrics
Heading north, walking through the woods at night Heavy footsteps, heavy heart inside Aimless wandering, never felt so tired. Not much hope for me tonight
Through the branches from the cloudless sky ahead light from stars upon the unfading grass bed Dancing, twirling, to the music in her head A spell that broke when the bird fled
Forward shone So direct a guiding light towards my home Like a stone That rang like silver shined like gold
Moving forward there is nothing I can say Struck to the soul I know I never felt this way How can I feel so much bliss and so much grief? The thought slipped right into a dream
Forward shone So direct a guiding light towards my home Like a stone That rang like silver shined like gold
Hope beyond hope but I believe that it is time To shed the shadows that might cover up this light The wolves are howling, as if to claim the moon But now I’ve light to guide me too

This sounds really good. Welcome to FAWM, more of this!
Thanks so much, @bradgates! I really appreciate that, and I will try! This has been a blast so far
First song in years you say? Wow! Well this was amazing! I would never have guessed!! The lyrics paint such a lovely portrait of the natural surroundings, I feel like I’m right there. Great stringed instrument playing, especially appreciate the mandolin! The solo breaks are really nicely placed and give time to contemplate the beautiful lyrics.
Hell yeah! The whole arsenal of BG instruments is out and it sounds tight! Love the lyrics too!
thanks man!! really appreciate it!
Oh incomes the mando! nice traditional song played very tightly! I like the use of guiding light! very nice song

I love the layering of instruments! Truly terrific playing. This is a joyous bluegrass jaunt. Your voice is gentle. You took me on an adventure
