I spent like 11 hours mostly non-stop on this forgot to eat until now.

If I'm taking myself too seriously, I guess this is supposed to represent the weird discombobulating chaos that 2026 feels like. Unease, anxiety, but with attempts at normality. A disappointment in my own apathy or maybe powerlessness in the grand scheme of things.

Or maybe its just instrumental music and has no inherent meaning, IDK. I think I'm supposed to type stuff in this text box.

Nice bit of weird... I hear songs like this and really wonder how you do it... I love this stuff and have no idea how to create this. Some very progy feel around 1:25 that comes in. Lovely. What a journey...

Thanks! I appreciate it.

I'm not sure I have any super useful advice. In a sort of sense it's fragments of musical language and stylings I've picked up over the years that comes semi naturally. Some picked up from listening but maybe also pulling from other musicians I've played in the past.

Believe me when I say hear tired personal tropes in what I do and sometimes feel stuck in these stylings. I hear the type of stuff you do and I absolutely can't pull it off.

With the more progressive leaning sounds, I guess maybe I'd say compose incrementally. Not everything is going to be coherent at first. It all starts as soup. You can compose disjoint unconnected statements and find the commonality between them. Nothing is going to be immediately realized.

Not sure if that is helpful

Love that gritty almost glitchy texture. This feels like the perfect combination of whimsy and angst.

Thanks! I think you are referring to one of the synth textures. I had few modulations of parameters playing off each other which I think kind of gives a bit of an unpredictable "warble"

I like how this meanders through musical styles and textures. Overall it's ethereal and gripping. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks! I like playing a bit with expectations, and sometimes worry it doesn't land.

Free.. jazz? Rock? It really works, anyway! There is no better way to spend 11 hours than notating chaos. Your sound textures are great.

Thanks! I think if I ever start a band, I should call it "11 Hours Notating Chaos"

This is really cool! I don't really know how to give feedback on a piece like this but I definitely enjoyed my listen. It sounds like it was a lot of work!

Thanks! I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment

The chaotic and discordant harmonies made me laugh! Love how just off-beat everything is. Definitely get the sense of unease and anxiety. Great synth work, very groovy.

Thanks :) I think most of my choices end up being things that make me laugh

You definitely nailed your vibe! Love everything about this! You can be to serious or too loose IT DOESN'T MATTER! IT'S FAWM!!

[pic]

Thanks! I'll probably be very un-serious for the next one, lol

Liking the groove. It's mellow, yet odd at the same time. It's got a bit of a Casio tonality & vibe to it, which I really appreciate. Oh! Then the Hammond Organ comes in! It fits so well right in themiddle there. Yeah, love it! Wicked track 😎

See You In The Shadows…

Thanks for listening! Glad you liked it. The parts surrounding that Hammond part gave me such trouble, so glad it turned out.
